Develop applications for Smart Grid solutions using scalable and resilient microservice-based architectures, REST APIs, the .NET framework, C#, NoSQL as well as traditional RDBMS systems. Leverage new and advanced features of the .NET framework including WCF, WPF, MVC. Mentor Junior developers in the use of tools, proper coding practices, and understanding requirements.

* Design and develop moderately complex to very complex software-based systems using functional specifications, requirements, documentation, and other inputs.

* Communicate with Software Architects, Systems Engineering, and Product Management to understand, document, and implement requirements.

* Provide detailed and accurate estimates for code development efforts including providing high-level estimates, reviewing detailed estimates, and re-evaluating estimates as work progresses.

* Attend and participate in development meetings (e.g. SCRUM or others)

* Develop and perform appropriate unit and functional test to ensure code quality.

* Conduct code reviews with the team (subordinates) to improve compliance with established best practices and coding standards.

* Assist with testing software in a live environment

* Support technical writers and other documentation resources to ensure delivered solutions are adequately and accurately documented; this includes modifications to various specifications, installation guides, system administration guides, troubleshooting guides, user guides, and others as appropriate

* Support and adhere to Company's Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy.

* Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Required Skills

* Experience with C#, .NET Framework

* Experience using WCF, LINQ, WPF and MVC a plus

* Experience with database scripting (Oracle and/or SQL Server)

* Understanding of iterative development environment such as Agile

* Must be familiar with and experienced in the use of Standard Office toolsets

* Ability to respond quickly to changes in requirements

* Excellent organizational skills and strong facilitation skills

Required Experience

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Similar

* 3-5 years experience in Software Engineering
